In this increasingly global world, people often consider moving to another place to live for different reasons. The InterNations portal published the ranking "The 30 best cities to move to in 2020", based on a study involving some 20,000 expatriates, foreigners who live and work outside their country of origin. And the cities on this list come from all over the world, from Asia to Europe, among others.
Despite the initial difficulties of the language, cities like Taipei, Kuala Lumpur or Saigon are the preferred ones, and those who speak English can survive. The capitals of Southeast Asia rank first, mainly because the cost of living is affordable, although the quality of medical services, security or employment expectations of a foreigner vary somewhat between them.
The first city on the non-Asian list is Montreal (Canada). The opposite is true in this case, despite good working conditions, good medical services and safety, the cost of living is a little more expensive, although nothing to do with cities like Toronto or Vancouver.
The first European cities are Lisbon (Portugal) and Barcelona (Spain). The two Iberian cities, although each with its own characteristics, resemble for a good social life, being close to the coast and open to foreigners. They are good destinations for work, with great access to good medical services and security.
Cities in northern Europe, such as Zug and Basel (Switzerland), The Hague (Netherlands) or Aachen, Aachen (Germany), appear later.
